দূষণের মাত্রা সাংঘাতিক হারে বেড়ে গিয়েছে রাজধানীতে (Delhi Air Pollution)। তাজমহল (Taj Mahal) থেকে ইন্ডিয়া গেট (India Gate) দূষণের চাদরে সবই আবছা। এই দূষণময় পরিস্থিতিতে পড়ুয়াদের স্বাস্থ্যের কথা মাথায় রেখে ইতিমধ্যেই ১০ নভেম্বর পর্যন্ত দিল্লির সমস্ত প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান বন্ধ রাখার সিদ্ধান্ত জানিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার। রাজধানীর দূষণ রোধে দিল্লি সরকারের সঙ্গে হাত মিলিয়েছে দিল্লি ফায়ার সার্ভিস ( Delhi Fire Services )। ফায়ার টেন্ডারের সাহায্যে জাতীয় রাজধানীর হটস্পট এলাকাগুলোতে জল ছিটিয়ে দূষণ নিয়ন্ত্রণের প্রক্রিয়া শুরু হয়েছে।
