টানা কয়েকদিনের বৃষ্টিতে জলমগ্ন মধ্যপ্রদেশের গোয়ালিয়র (Gwalior)। পার্বতী নদীর জল উঠে এসেছে জনবহুল এলাকায়। যার ফলে জলের তোড়ে ভেসে গিয়েছে ভীতরওয়ার এলাকার গবাদী পশু, ঘর-বাড়ি। বাস্তুচ্যুত অসংখ্য মানুষ। স্থানীয় প্রশাসনের তৎপরতায় খোলা হয়েছে ত্রাণশিবির। সেখানে থাকছেন অনেকে। তবে এখনও বন্যা বিধ্বস্ত এলাকায় আটকে রয়েছেন বহু মানুষ। তাঁদের উদ্ধার করতে এবার এগিয়ে এলেন ভারতীয় সেনার অফিসাররা। জানা যাচ্ছে, শুক্রবার সকাল থেকে টানা তিনঘন্টা উদ্ধারকাজ চালিয়ে ১২ থেকে ১৫ জনকে উদ্ধার করকে পেরেছেন সেনাকর্মীরা। গত বৃহস্পতিবার থেকে ভারতীয় সেনা উদ্ধারকাজে হাত লাগিয়েছে বলে জানা গিয়েছে।
