দক্ষিণী রাজ্যগুলি থেকে ঘূর্ণিঝড় মিগজাউম বিদায় নিলেও ঝড়-বৃষ্টির প্রকোপ থামছে না।তামিলনাড়ুর (Tamil Nadu) তিরুনেলভেলির মতো জায়গায় প্রবল বৃষ্টি হয়েছে। অনেক দক্ষিণী জেলাই জলের দাপটে ভেসে যাচ্ছে। শ্রীবৈকুন্তম রেলওয়ে স্টেশনে (Srivaikuntam Railway Station) গত ২৪ ঘন্টা ধরে প্রায় ৫০০ যাত্রী আটকা পড়েছে ভারী বৃষ্টির কারণে, স্টেশনটি জলে ডুবে গিয়েছে। ভারতীয় বিমান বাহিনী আটকে পড়া ট্রেন যাত্রীদের জন্য ত্রাণ সামগ্রী পাঠাচ্ছে, উদ্ধার অভিযান চালাচ্ছে জাতীয় বিপর্যয় মোকাবিলা বাহিনী।
