আল-উমার-মুজাহিদিনের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও প্রধান কমান্ডার মুশতাক আহমেদ জারগারকে (Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar) বেআইনি কার্যকলাপ প্রতিরোধ আইন ১৯৬৭- র অধীনে সন্ত্রাসবাদী ঘোষণা করল স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রক।
এতদিনে জঙ্গি তকমায় পড়ল সরকারি সিলমোহর। আল-উমর-মুজাহিদিনের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও প্রধান কমান্ডার মুশতাক আহমেদ জারগারকে (Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar) বেআইনি কার্যকলাপ প্রতিরোধ আইন ১৯৬৭- র অধীনে সন্ত্রাসবাদী ঘোষণা করল স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রক। ১৯৯৯ সালে ইন্ডিয়ান এয়ারলাইন্সের বিমান অপহরণের ঘটনায় যাত্রীদের প্রাণের বিনিময়ে ভারত সরকার এই জঙ্গিকে মুক্ত করতে বাধ্য হয়েছিল।
