আজ সকালে মুম্বইয়ের ব্রিচ ক্যান্ডি হাসপাতাল প্রয়াত হয়েছেন সংগীত শিল্পী লতা মঙ্গেশকর (Lata Mangeshka)। সকাল ৮টা ১২ মিনিটে তিনি প্রয়াত হন। তাঁর বয়স হয়েছিল ৯২ বছর। সংগীতে তাঁর অবদানের জন্য ২০০১ সালে ভারতের সর্বোচ্চ অসামরিক সম্মাননা ভারত রত্নে (Bharat Ratna) ভূষিত করা হয়।
