কেরলে (Kerala) ভূমিধ্বসের (Landslide) জেরে একের পর এক মৃত্যুর খবর সামনে আসতে শুরু করেছে। ভূমিধ্বসের জেরে ওয়েনাড়ে এখনও পর্যন্ত ৭০ থেকে ৮৪ জনের মৃত্যুর খবর মিলছে। ফলে ওই এলাকায় জোর কদমে উদ্ধার কাজ শুরু করেছে বিপর্যয় মোকাবিলাকারী বাহিনী। বিপর্যয় মোকাবিলাকারী বাহিনীর সঙ্গে সেনা বাহিনীর জওয়ানরাও জোর কদমে তল্লাশি অভিযান শুরু করেছেন চুরামালায়। একটানা বর্ষণে চুরামালায় ভূমিধ্বস নামতে শুরু করে। যার জেরে চুরামালায় ধ্বসে যেতে শুরু করে একের পর এক বাড়িঘর। ধ্বংসস্তূপের নীচে কোথায় কতজন চাপা পড়ে রয়েছেন, সে বিষয়েও শুরু হয়েছে খোঁজ।
