নতুন সংসদ ভবন উদ্বোধন নিয়ে নরেন্দ্র মোদী সরকারকে আক্রমণ বিখ্যাত অভিনেতা তথা রাজনীতিবিদ কমল হাসানের (Kamal Hasan)। এমএএম প্রধান কমল হাসান, দেশের নতুন সংসদ ভবনের উদ্বোধনে রাষ্ট্রপতির উপস্থিত না থাকা নিয়ে প্রশ্ন তুললেন। কমল হাসান বললেন, " আমি প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদীকে জিজ্ঞাসা করবো, দয়া করে দেশকে বলুন কেন নতুন সংসদ ভবনের উদ্বোধনে দেশের রাষ্ট্রপতি থাকবেনা না। আমি কোনো কারণ বা যুক্তি দেখি না এইরকম ঐতিহাসিক একটা অনুষ্ঠানে দেশের প্রধান হয়েও রাষ্ট্রপতি কেন থাকছে না।
রাষ্ট্রপতি কেন সংসদ ভবন উদ্বোধন করছেন না, এই ইস্যুতে কংগ্রেস, তৃণমূল, আপ সহ দেশের মোট ১৯টি দল এই অনুষ্ঠান বয়কট করেছে।
