এটিএমে (ATM) গেলে শুধুই বের হচ্ছে ৫০০ টাকার নোট। দু হাজারের নোট কিছুতেই মিলছে না এটিএম (Automated Teller Machines) থেকে। কিন্তু কেন? এই বিষয়ে নানা কথা শোনা যাচ্ছে। এই নিয়ে লোকসভায় লিখিত জবাব দিলেন কেন্দ্রীয় অর্থমন্ত্রী নির্মলা সীতারমণ (Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman)। কেন্দ্রীয় অর্থমন্ত্রী বললেন, " ব্যাঙ্কগুলিকে ২ হাজার টাকার নোট এটিএমে না রাখার কোনও নির্দেশই সরকার দেয়নি।ব্যাঙ্কগুলি নিজেদের ইচ্ছাতেই ক্যাশ ভেন্ডিং মেশিনে টাকা রাখছে।"
