স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী অমিত শাহ আজ একথা ঘোষণা করে বলেন, দেশের অভ্যন্তরীন নিরাপত্তা সুনিশ্চিত করতে এবং উত্তর-পুর্বের মায়ানমার সীমান্ত সংলগ্ন রাজ্যগুলির জন বিন্যাসগত কাঠামোকে অক্ষুণ্ণ রাখতেই অবাধ চলাচল ব্যবস্থা বাতিল করা হচ্ছে।
কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার, ভারত ও মায়ানমারের মধ্যে অবাধ চলাচল ব্যাবস্থা বা ‘Free Movement Regime’ (FMR) তুলে দেবার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে। স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী অমিত শাহ আজ একথা ঘোষণা করে বলেন, দেশের অভ্যন্তরীন নিরাপত্তা সুনিশ্চিত করতে এবং উত্তর-পুর্বের মায়ানমার সীমান্ত সংলগ্ন রাজ্যগুলির জন বিন্যাসগত কাঠামোকে অক্ষুণ্ণ রাখতেই অবাধ চলাচল ব্যবস্থা বাতিল করা হচ্ছে।সামাজিক মাধ্যমে এক বার্তায় শ্রী শাহ লেখেন, এই বিষয়টি বর্তমানে বিদেশ মন্ত্রকের আওতাধীন। তাই স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রকের পক্ষ থেকে অবিলম্বে অবাধ চলাচল ব্যাবস্থা (FMR) বাতিলের সুপারিশ করা হয়েছে।
