বয়স ছুঁয়েছে ৯০-এর কোটায়। শরীরে আগের মতো জোড় নেই। তবুও ভোট দিতে নির্বাচনী কেন্দ্রে পৌঁছালেন দেশের প্রাক্তন প্রধানমন্ত্রী এইচডি দেবেগৌড়া (HD Deve Gowda)। শুক্রবার কর্নাটকের হাসানে পোলিং স্টেশনে ভোট দিতে গিয়েছিলেন তিনি। হাঁটতে পারছিলেন না বলে দুজন তাঁকে ইভিএমের সামনে নিয়ে যায়। এরপর ভোট দেন দেবেগৌড়া। প্রাক্তন প্রধানমন্ত্রীর পাশাপাশি তাঁর পরিবারের লোকজনও ভোট দেন এদিন।
