দিল্লির সার্ভিসেস বিল লোকসভায় পাশ হওয়ার পর থেকেই শুরু হয়ে গেল ক্ষমতা প্রদর্শন। সরকারী কর্মচারীদের বদলি নিয়ে কাজ শুরু করে দিলেন উপরাজ্যপাল। ২৬৩ জন সিনিয়র মেডিকেল অফিসারকে মুখ্য মেডিকেল অফিসারে পদোন্নতি করা হল।দিল্লির বিভিন্ন হাসপাতালে তাঁদের বদলি করা হয়েছে।
রাজ্যসভায় বিলের পাশ ঙোয়ার বিরোধীতায় ছিল আম আদমি পার্টি। এই বিল নির্বাচিত সরকারের ক্ষমতা কেড়ে নেবে এর জেরেই বিরোধীতায় নেমছিল আপ সহ বিরোধী দল। তবে কেন্দ্রীয় স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রী অমিত শাহর দাবি, দিল্লিকে দুর্নীতি মুক্ত করতেই এই বিল আনা হয়েছে।
