চিনে (China) ওমিক্রনের (Omicron) যে সাব ভ্যারিয়েন্ট দাপিয়ে বেড়াচ্ছে, তার খোঁজ মিলেছে ভারতেও (India)। চলতি বছরের জুলাই মাসে প্রথম ওমিক্রনের সাব ভ্যারিয়েন্ট BF.7 -এর খোঁজ মেলে। এরপর অক্টোবর এবং নভেম্বর মাসেও এই ভ্যারিয়েন্টের খোঁজ মেলে ভারতে। গুজরাট এবং ওড়িশার ভুবনেশ্বরে ওমিক্রনের এই সাব ভ্যারিয়েন্টের খোঁজ মেলে। আক্রান্ত হন ৪ জন। তবে এরপর থেকে আর এখনও পর্যন্ত ভারতে ওমিক্রনের সাব ভ্যারিয়েন্টের খোঁজ মেলেনি। তবে ওমিক্রনের সাব ভ্যারিয়েন্ট যখন ধরা পড়ে ভারতে, তখন তা সংক্রামক ছিল না। সূত্রের তরফে মেলে এমন খবর।

Covid cases of Omicron sub-variant BF.7 were reported in India in July, September & November. A total of 4 cases were reported; three from Gujarat & one from Bhubaneswar, Odisha. There weren't any further cases of sub-variant that were reported & it wasn't that infectious:Sources
