Allahabad HC On Divorced Muslim Woman: ডিভোর্সি মুসলিম মহিলার স্বার্থে ঐতিহাসিক রায় এলাহাবাদ হাইকোর্টের

এলাহাবাদ: ডিভোর্সি মুসলিম মহিলার (divorced Muslim woman) স্বার্থে ঐতিহাসিক দিল এলাহাবাদ হাইকোর্ট (Allahabad High Court)। শনিবার একটি মামলার শুনানি শেষে এই রায় দেয় আদালত।

আদালত সূত্রে জানা গেছে, একজন ডিভোর্সি মহিলা তাঁর স্বামীর বিরুদ্ধে ভরণপোষণের (maintenance)দাবি জানিয়ে মামলা করেছিলেন। এলাহাবাদ হাইকোর্ট উভয়পক্ষের আইনজীবীর বক্তব্য শোনার পর এই রায় দেয় যে একজন ডিভোর্সি মহিলা ইদ্দাতের (iddat) পরেও সিআরপিসি (CrPC)-র ১২৫ ধারা অনুযায়ী আজীবন (whole life) ভরণপোষণের খরচ দাবি করতে পারেন। তবে যদি তাঁর ফের অন্য কারও সঙ্গে বিয়ে (marriage) হয় বা এই ধরনের কোনও কারণ থাকলে প্রাক্তন স্বামীর আর ভরণপোষণ দেওয়ার দায় থাকে না।
