ইয়েমেন উপকূলের কাছে সমুদ্রে উল্টে গেল পরিযায়ী শ্রমিকদের নৌকা। এই ঘটনায় অন্তত ৬৮ জনের মৃত্যুর খবর পাওয়া গিয়েছে। নিখোঁজ ৭৪ জন। জীবিত অবস্থায় উদ্ধার করা গিয়েছে মাত্র ১২ জনকে। ইয়েমেনের হাসপাতালে তাঁদের চিকিৎসা চলছে।১৫৪ জন পরিযায়ীকে নিয়ে ইয়েমেনের দিকে যাচ্ছিল নৌকাটি। সে দেশের আবিয়ান প্রদেশের কাছে এডেন উপসাগরে উল্টে যায় নৌকাটি। সেই সময় নৌকায় ছিলেন ১৫৪ জন। তাঁদের প্রত্যেকেই ইথিওপিয়ার বাসিন্দা। নৌকা উল্টে যাওয়ার পরেই এডেন উপসাগরে তল্লাশি অভিযান শুরু হয়। নৌকাডুবিতে এখনও পর্যন্ত ৬৮ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে।
