Mango: ভারত থেকে আমদানি করা আম ফিরিয়ে দিল ট্রাম্পের দেশ, ক্ষতি ৪১ কোটি টাকা
ভারত থেকে আমদানি হওয়া ১৫টি শিপমেন্টের আমগুলিতে উজ্জ্বলতার চিকিতসার নথিতে সন্তুষ্ট না হওয়ায় তা সেখানেই নষ্ট করে দেওয়া বা ভারতে ফেরত পাঠানোর নির্দেশ দেয় ট্রাম্পের দেশ।
সেরকম কোনও যুক্তিযুক্ত কারণ ছাড়াই ভারত থেকে আমদানি করা ১৫টি আমের শিপমেন্ট ফেরত পাঠাল মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্র। আমেরিকার লস অ্য়াঞ্জেলস, সান ফ্রান্সিসকো এবং আটলান্টা বিমানবন্দরে ভারত থেকে এই আমগুলি এসে পৌঁছয়। ভারত থেকে আমদানি হওয়া ১৫টি শিপমেন্টের আমগুলিতে উজ্জ্বলতার চিকিতসার নথিতে সন্তুষ্ট না হওয়ায় তা সেখানেই নষ্ট করে দেওয়া বা ভারতে ফেরত পাঠানোর নির্দেশ দেয় ট্রাম্পের দেশ।
অথচ আমগুলির নথিতেই লেখা ছিল, গত ৮ ও ৯ মে মুম্বই বিমানবন্দরে USDA বা মার্কিন কৃষি আধিকারীদের উপস্থিতিতে আমগুলির 'irradiation treatment' হয়েছে। ফলে আমগুলি ফেরত পাঠানোর কোনও যুক্তিগ্রাহ্য কারণই নেই। আমগুলিকে আনার খরচের কথা ভেবে সেখানেই সব ভারতীয় আমগুলিকে নষ্ট করে দেওয়া হয়। এর জন্য ভারতীয় কোম্পানিগুলির ক্ষতি হল ৫ লক্ষ মার্কিন ডলার বা ভারতীয় মুদ্রায় প্রায় ৪১ কোটি টাকা।
