আমেরিকা ও চিনের মধ্যে বানিজ্যিক যুদ্ধ অব্যাহত। ডোনাল্ড ট্রাম্প (Donald Trump) দ্বিতীয়বারের জন্য ক্ষমতায় আসার পর থেকেই ঘুম উড়েছে শি জিনপিংয়ের (Xi Jinping)। আগেই চিনের ওপর ১২৫ শতাংশের বিরাট অঙ্কের শুল্ক চাপিয়েছিল হোয়াইট হাউস। এরপর চিনও আমেরিকাকে প্যাঁচে ফেলতে ৮৪ শতাংশ শুল্ক চাপায় আমেরিকার ওপর। কিন্তু ট্রাম্পকে যে অত সহজে চাপে ফেলা যাবে না, তা আবারও বুঝিয়ে দিল হোয়াইট হাইস। চিনের ওপর ১২৫ সহ আরও ২০ শতাংশ শুল্ক চাপাল মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্র। যার ফলে আমেরিকা থেকে আসা পণ্যগুলির দাম বাড়বে চিনা বাজারে।
