মাত্র ৬০ ঘণ্টার ব্যবধানে দুনিয়ার দুই প্রান্তে দুটি ভয়াবহ ভূমিকম্প। মায়নামারের পর এবার টোঙ্গায়।
Tonga Earthquake: প্রশান্ত মহাসাগরের কোলের দেশ টোঙ্গায় ভয়াবহ কম্পনের পর সুনামি সতর্কতা জারি করা হল। মায়নামারে যখন ধ্বংসস্তুপ থেকে দেহ উদ্ধার হচ্ছে, তখনই প্রশান্ত মহাসাগরের কোলের দেশ টোঙ্গা কেঁপে উঠল ভয়াবহ ভূমিকম্প। রবিবার ভারতীয় সময় বিকেল সাড়ে পাঁচটা নাগাদ হওয়া ওশিয়ানিয়া মহাদেশের এই দেশে রিখটার স্কেলে ৭.১ মাত্রার কম্পনে আতঙ্ক ছড়ায়। কম্পনের পর সুনামি সতর্কতা জারি করা হয়েছে। এখনও পর্যন্ত টোঙ্গা থেকে কোনও বড় ক্ষয়ক্ষতির খবর আসেনি।
গত শুক্রবার দুপুর সাড়ে ১২টা নাগাদ মায়নামার ও রাজধানী সহ তাইল্যান্ডে ৭.৭ মাত্রার ভয়াবহ ভূমিকম্প আঘাত করেছিল। এখনও পর্যন্ত এই ভূমিকম্পে মায়নামারে সরকারী হিসেবে মৃত্যু ১৮০০-র কাছাকাছি পৌঁছে গিয়েছে।
