ইজরায়েল থেকে বিমান রাশিয়ার দাগেস্তান বিমানবন্দরে নামতেই সেখানে বিক্ষোভ শুরু হয়। রাশিয়ার দাগেস্তান প্রদেশে মুসলিম সম্প্রদায় সংখ্যগরিষ্ঠ হওয়ায়, সেখানে ইজরায়েল ফেরৎ বিমান নামতেই বহু মানুষ বিক্ষোভ শুরু করেন। যার জেরে ইজরায়েল ফেরৎ বিমানে যাত্রীরা যাতে দরজা না খোলেন, সে বিষয়ে আবেদন জানান চালক। দাগেস্তান বিমানবন্দরে বিক্ষোভ এবং সংঘর্ষ শুরু হওয়ায় যাত্রীরা যাতে নিরাপদে থাকেন, তার জন্যই বিমানের দরজা বন্ধ রাখার বার বার আবেদন জানান চালক। দাগেস্তান বিমানবন্দর সংলগ্ন এলাকায় সংঘর্ষ ছড়াতেই তার জেরে ২০ জন পরপর আহত হন। আহতদের মধ্যে যাঁদের গুরুতর অবস্থা, তাঁদের ভর্তি করা হয় হাসপাতালে।
