পরপর ২বার ভূমিকম্পে (Earthquake) কেঁপে উঠল জাপান উপকূলের নিকটবর্তী অঞ্চল। প্রথমে ৬.৩ মাত্রার ভূমিকম্পে কেঁপে ওঠে জাপান উপকূল সংলগ্ন অঞ্চল। ৬.৩ মাত্রার পর ফের ৫ মাত্রার কম্পনে কেঁপে ওঠে ওই অঞ্চল। যা নিয়ে আতঙ্ক ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। তবে পরপর ২বার জোরাল মাত্রার কম্পনের জেরে ওই এলাকায় কোনও ক্ষয়ক্ষতি হয়েছে কি না, সে বিষয়ে এখনও কিছু জানা যায়নি।
