চলতি বছর ৬ ফেব্রুয়ারি ৭.৮ মাত্রার ভয়াবহ ভূমিকম্পে কেঁপে উঠেছিল তুরস্ক ও সিরিয়া। ভয়াবহ সেই ভূমিকম্পে তুরস্কে ৫০ হাজারেরও বেশী মানুষ মারা গিয়েছিলেন, জখমের সংখ্যা ২ লক্ষাধিক। ধ্বংস হয়েছিল সাড়ে তিন লক্ষ বড় বাড়ি। ১ কোটি ৬০ লক্ষ মানুষের জীবনে সরাসরি প্রভাব ফেলেছিল ভয়াবহ ভূমিকম্প। সেই অভিশপ্ত ভূমিকম্পের পর গত কয়েক মাস বারবার কেঁপে উঠেছিল তুরস্ক। সেই ভয়াবহ কম্পনের ৯ মাস পর আজ, শুক্রবার দুপুরে কাঁপল তুরস্কের পূর্বাংশ।
৫.৩ মাত্রার কম্পনে রাজধানী ইস্তানবুলে বেশ বড় প্রভাব পড়ল। গত ফেব্রুয়ারিতে ভয়াবহ ভূমিকম্পের উতপত্তিস্থল যেখানে ছিল, এদিনের আফটারশক সেই উত্পত্তিস্থলের একেবারে কাছেই ছিল বলে জানা গিয়েছে।
