কলম্বিয়াতে কয়লাখনিতে গ্যাস বিস্ফোরনের জেরে মৃতের সংখ্যা বেড়ে দাঁড়াল ২১ । উত্তর বগোটা থেকে ৭৫ কিলোমিটার দূরে সুটাটাউসা নামের একটি এলাকার কয়লাখনিতে এই দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে বুধবারে। তার পর থেকেই উদ্ধারকাজে নেমে এখনও পর্যন্ত ২১ জনের দেহ পাওয়া গেছে। ঘটনার জেরে বন্ধ করা হয়েছে খনন কাজ।
সোনা এবং কয়লার খনিতে এধরনের ঘটনা আকছার ঘটে কলম্বিয়ায়। গত বছর কলম্বিয়াতে ১১৭ টি দুর্ঘটনা ঘটেছে। যাতে প্রাণ গেছে ১৪৬ জন মানুষের। ২০১০ জুনে কলম্বিয়ায় খনিতে বিস্ফরনে ৭৩ জন মানুষ প্রাণ হারান।
