RG Kar Case: 'কঠিন শাস্তি চাই', সঞ্জয় রায়ের আমৃত্যু কারাদণ্ডের নির্দেশের পর প্রতিবাদ চিকিৎসকদের
আরজিকরে (RG Kar) কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসকের (Kolkata Doctor Rape, Murder) ধর্ষণ, খুন-কাণ্ডে সোমাবার সঞ্জয় রায়ের সাজা ঘোষণা করেছে আদালত। যেখানে সঞ্জয় রায়কে মৃত্যুদণ্ডের সাজা দেয়নি আদালত। 'বিরলের মধ্যে বিরলতম ঘটনা নয়' বলে আরজিকর-কাণ্ডে অভিযুক্তের সাজা ঘোষণার সময় মন্তব্য করেন বিচারক। সেই অনুযায়ী, সঞ্জয় রায়ের যাবজ্জীবন কারাদণ্ডের নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়। সঞ্জয় রায়ের সাজা ঘোষণার পর শিয়ালদহ আদালতের বাইরে প্রতিবাদ শুরু করেন জুনিয়র ডাক্তাররা। হাসপাতালের ভিতরে কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসকের ধর্ষণ এবং খুন-কাণ্ডে সঞ্জয় রায়ের কঠিন শাস্তির দাবিতে প্রতিবাদ শুরু করেন জুনিয়র ডাক্তাররা।
