মুর্শিদাবাদের ডিআইজি-কে (Murshidabad DIG) সরাল নির্বাচন কমিশন। রাজ্য পুলিশের ডিজি, কলকাতা পুলিশের ডিজিপির পর সোমবার মুর্শিদাবাদ রেঞ্জের ডিআইজি-কে বদলির নির্দেশ দিল নির্বাচন কমিশন (Election Commission)। আইপিএস শ্রী মুকেশের বিরুদ্ধে বারেবারে পক্ষপাতিত্বের অভিযোগ তুলেছিলেন লোকসভা কংগ্রেস প্রার্থী অধীর রঞ্জন চৌধুরী (Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury)। বহরমপুরের বিদায়ী সাংসদের অভিযোগ, 'তৃণমূলের হয়ে কাজ করেতেন ডিআইজি'। সোমবার মুকেশকে বদলি করে, ভোটের সঙ্গে যুক্ত নয় এমন পুলিশের পদে নিযুক্ত করার নির্দেশ দিয়েছে কমিশন।
