Cyclone Remal: রেমাল আছড়ে পড়তেই তাজপুরেও উত্তাল সমুদ্র, সন্দেশখালিতে গাছ কেটে জনজীবন স্বাভাবিক করার প্রচেষ্টা NDRF-এর
ঘূর্ণিঝড় রেমাল (Cyclone Remal) ভূভাগে আছড়ে পড়তেই উত্তাল হয়ে পড়তে শুরু করে দিঘার সমুদ্র। দিঘার পাশাপাশি সোমবার সকালে তাজপুরেও সমুদ্রের উত্তাল পরিস্থিতি চোখে পড়ে। গতরাতে রেমাল আছড়ে পড়ার পর থেকেই পূর্ মেদিনীপুরের একাধিক জায়গায় পরিস্থিতি বেসামাল হতে শুরু করে।

দক্ষিণ ২৪ পরগনার সন্দেশখালিতেও রেমাল আছড়ে পড়ার পর থেকে পরিস্থিতি ক্রমাগত খারাপ হতে শুরু করে। সাগরদ্বীপে রেমালের দাপটে একাধিক গাছ উপড়ে পড়তে শুরু করে। ফলে ভোরের আলো ফুটতেই বিপর্যয় মোকাবিলাকারী দল বিভিন্ন জায়গায় পৌঁছে গিয়ে গাছ কেটে জনজীবন স্বাভাবিক করার কাজ শুরু করে।
