Calcutta HC Suggestion On Lioness Named Sita: সীতা থেকে শ্রুতি, আদালতের নির্দেশে সিংহীর নাম পালটাল আলিপুর চিড়িয়াখানা
শ্রদ্ধেয় ব্যক্তিদের নামে কখনও পশু, প্রাণীর নামকরণ করা উচিত নয়। এমনই মত প্রকাশ করল কলকাতা হাইকোর্ট। সেই অনুযায়ী, আলিপুর চিড়িয়াখানায় (Alipore Zoo) এক সিংহীর ( Lioness) নাম সীতা থেকে পরিবর্তন করে শ্রুতি রাখা হল। প্রথমে চিড়িয়াখানা কর্তৃপক্ষ ওই সিংহীর নামকরণ করে সীতা। যার প্রেক্ষিতে আদালতের তরফে জানানো হয়, শ্রদ্ধেয় ব্যক্তিদের নাম অনুযায়ী পশু, পাখিদের ডাকা উচিত নয়। কারণ মানুষের আবেগ ওই সব নামের সঙ্গে জড়িয়ে। সেই কারণে চিড়িয়াখানার সিংহীর নাম এবার সীতা থেকে শ্রুতিতে পরিবর্তন করে কর্তৃপক্ষ।
