Bharat Bandh: কলকাতার যাদবপুরে 'ভারত বন্ধে'র সমর্থনে বামপন্থী ইউনিয়ন এর পদযাত্রা, কলকাতা জুড়ে বনধে মিশ্র সাড়া( দেখুন ভিডিও)
কেন্দ্র সরকারের কৃষক বিরোধী,শ্রমিক-বিরোধী এবং দেশবিরোধী কর্পোরেট নীতির প্রতিবাদে আজ (৯ জুলাই,বুধবার) ভারত বনধের (Bharat Bandh) ডাক দিয়েছে ১০টি কেন্দ্রীয় ট্রেড ইউনিয়নের যৌথ সংগঠন (10 central trade unions)। ট্রেড ইউনিয়নগুলি অভিযোগ করেছে যে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার এমন সংস্কার বাস্তবায়ন করছে যা শ্রমিকদের অধিকারকে দুর্বল করে। সংগঠনগুলির দাবি দেশ জুড়ে ২৫ কোটিরও বেশি কর্মী এই বনধে শামিল হবেন। সকালেই বেশ কয়েকটি জেলা থেকে বিক্ষিপ্ত অশান্তির খবর মিলেছে। জেলার পাশাপাশি কলকাতাতেও বেরিয়েছে বামেদের মিছিল। দক্ষিণ কলকাতার বাঘাযতীন, যাদবপুর এলাকায় বনধের সমর্থনে মিছিল করে বাম কর্মী সমর্থকরা( Left parties' unions)।

শুধু বনধের সমর্থনে মিছিল নয়, পুলিশের উপস্থিতি উপেক্ষা করে বাম দলগুলির ইউনিয়নের সদস্যরা কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের "কর্পোরেট-পন্থী" নীতির বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদ জানাতে যাদবপুর রেলস্টেশনে প্রবেশ করে রেললাইন অবরোধ করে।
