২০২২ সালে প্রায় ১৪৭৪ অ্যাপ সরানো হয়েছে অ্যাপেলের প্লে স্টোরের তরফে
বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন সরকারের কাছ থেকে অভিযোগ পেয়ে ২০২২ সালে বেশ কিছু অ্যাপ তাদের প্লে স্টোর থেকে সরিয়ে নিয়েছে অ্যাপেল। আপত্তিজনক এমন অনেক অ্যাপ রয়েছে যা গুপ্তচর বৃত্তি হোক বা সাধারণ মানুষ বিপদে পড়তে পারেন এমন অ্যাপ নিষিদ্ধ করে সরকার।
২০২২ এর দিকে মোট ১,৪৩৫ অ্যাপ নিষিদ্ধ করা হয়েছে মেইনল্যান্ড চাইনাতে। ভারতে নিষিদ্ধ করা হয়েছে ১৪ টি অ্যাপ। শুধু অ্যাপল নয় গুগলের তরফেও অনেক অ্যাপ রয়েছে যা সাধারণে মানুষ তথা সরকারের কাছে সমস্যা সৃষ্টি করে। এমন অ্যাপের ক্ষেত্রেও জারি করা হয়েছে নিষেধাজ্ঞা।
