বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় ক্রিকেট দলের কোচ রাসেল ডমিঙ্গো আচমকাই পদত্যাগ করলেন। ২০২৩ ওয়ানডে বিশ্বকাপ পর্যন্ত তাঁর সঙ্গে বিসিবি-র চুক্তি ছিল।
বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় ক্রিকেট দলের কোচ রাসেল ডমিঙ্গো আচমকাই পদত্যাগ করলেন। ২০২৩ ওয়ানডে বিশ্বকাপ পর্যন্ত তাঁর সঙ্গে বিসিবি-র চুক্তি ছিল। কিন্তু ভারতের কাছে ০-২ হারের দিন দুয়েক পরেই ডমিঙ্গো ইস্তফা দিলেন। ২০১৯ সালের আগস্টে দুই বছরের চুক্তিতে বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট দলের প্রধান কোচ পদে আা হয়েছিল দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকার ডমিঙ্গোকে। ২০২১ সালে সে চুক্তি বাড়ানো হয় ২০২৩ সালের ওয়ানডে বিশ্বকাপ পর্যন্ত। তার আগেই দায়িত্ব থেকে সরলেন ডমিঙ্গো।
বড় সাফল্যে এনে দিতে না পারলেও বাংলাদেশের ক্রিকেটেকে একটা দিশা দেখিয়ে গেলেন তিনি। বেশ কয়েকজন প্রতিশ্রুতিবান ক্রিকেটারও তুলে আনলেন তিনি। এবার সাকিবদের কোচ হিসেবে কাকে আনা হয় সেটাই দেখার।
