এ বারের আইপিএলের সেরা উঠতি তারকাদের মধ্যে অন্যতম উমরান মালিক (Umran Malik)। ২২ বছরের উমরান ২২ বছরের উমরান ১৫০ কিমির বেশি গতিতে বল করতে পারেন। আইপিএলে ২২টি উইকেটও নিয়েছেন তিনি। এর জেরেই কাশ্মীরের তারকা ভারতীয় দলে ডাক পেয়েছেন। জানা যাচ্ছে, অনুশীলনে উমরান নাকি এবার আরও গতিতে বল করেছেন। অসমর্থিত সূত্রে দাবি করা হয়েছে, তাঁর একটি বলের গতি ছিল ১৬৩.৭ কিমি প্রতি ঘণ্টা (163.7 kmph)। আর যা নিয়ে স্বাভাবিকভাবেই ক্রিকেট ভক্তরা উচ্ছ্বসিত। নীল জার্সিতে তাঁকে বল হাতে আগুন ছোটাতে দেখতে সবাই অধীর আগ্রহে অপেক্ষা করে রয়েছেন।
