হিন্দু ধর্মে সাপকে দেবতা হিসেবে পুজো করা হয়। বিশ্বাস করা হয় যে সর্প দেবতার পুজো সুখ এবং সৌভাগ্য নিয়ে আসে, ভগবান শিবের আশীর্বাদ বয়ে আনে এবং কালসর্প দোষ দূর করে।শিব এর প্রিয় মাস শ্রাবণেই পালিত হয় নাগ পঞ্চমীর উৎসব। আজ (৯ অগস্ট) গোটা দেশে পালিত হচ্ছে সেই নাগ পঞ্চমীর উৎসব (Naag Panchami 2024)। এই উৎসব উপলক্ষে মধ্যরাতে মধ্যপ্রদেশের উজ্জয়নের নাগচন্দ্রেশ্বর মন্দিরের দরজাগুলি খোলা হয়েছে। সারা বছরে একবার এই নাগ পঞ্চমীর দিনেই সেগুলি খোলা হয়। উৎসব উপলক্ষে বিপুল সংখ্যক ভক্ত রা উপস্থিত হয়েছিলেন। দেখুন সেই ভিডিও-
