কোভ্যাক্সিনকে বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থা (WHO) মান্যতা দেবে কি না, তা নিয়ে বহুদিন ধরে জল্পনা চলছে। করোনা রুখতে জরুরি ভিত্তিতে ব্যবহারের জন্য যে ভ্যাকসিনগুলিকে মান্যতা দিয়েছে বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থা, তার মধ্যে নেই ভারত বায়োটেকের কোভ্যাক্সিন (Covaxin)। যা নিয়ে বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থার সঙ্গে ক্রমাগত কথা বলা হচ্ছে ভারতের তরফে। তবে শিগগিরই কোভ্যাক্সিনকে জরুরি ভিত্তিতে ব্যবহারের তালিকাভুক্ত করবে বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থা। এমনই আশ্বাস দিলেন কেন্দ্রীয় স্বাস্থ্য প্রতিমন্ত্রী ভারতী প্রবীণ পাওয়ার (Bharati Pravin Pawar)।
