বিহারের (Bihar) পর এবার উত্তরপ্রদেশ (Uttar Pradesh)। রাপতি নদীর (River) জল বাড়তে শুরু করায় উত্তরপ্রদেশের একাধিক গ্রাম প্রায় জলের নীচে। এক নাগাড়ে রাপতি নদীর জল বিপদসীমার উপর দিয়ে বইতে শুরু করায় গোরক্ষপুরের ২৯টি গ্রামে বন্যা পরিস্থিতি তৈরি হয়। ফলে কোথাও কোমর সমান আবার কোথায় গলা পর্যন্ত জলে ডুবে যেতে শুরু করে এলাকা। যার জেরে ঘরবাড়ির পাশাপাশি চাষের জমিও ডুবতে শুরু করে।
