২৩ বছর আগে ২০০১ সালের আজকের দিনে সন্ত্রাসবাদী হামলার সময় সংসদকে রক্ষা করার জন্য নিজের জীবন উৎসর্গকারী সাহসীদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করেছেন রাষ্ট্রপতি দ্রৌপদী মুর্মু । একটি সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া পোস্টে, রাষ্ট্রপতি নিরাপত্তা কর্মীদের সাহসিকতা এবং নিঃস্বার্থ সেবার কথা স্মরণ করে বলেছেন যে তারা এখনও দেশের সকলকে অনুপ্রাণিত করে চলেছেন। রাষ্ট্রপতি মুর্মু আরও বলেন যে- গোটা জাতি তাদের এবং তাদের পরিবারের প্রতি গভীরভাবে কৃতজ্ঞ। রাষ্ট্রপতি সন্ত্রাসবাদের বিরুদ্ধে লড়াই করার জন্য ভারতের অটল সংকল্প পুনর্ব্যক্ত করেছেন এবং জোর দিয়েছিলেন যে দেশ সন্ত্রাসের শক্তির বিরুদ্ধে ঐক্যবদ্ধ রয়েছে।
