রাজ্যসভা (Rajya Sabha) থেকে বিরোধীদের যে ১২ জন সাংসদকে গোটা শীতকালীন অধিবেশনের জন্য বরখাস্ত করা হয়, তার মধ্যে রয়েছেন তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের (TMC) ২ জন। যার জেরে এবার সাংসদদের বরখাস্তের প্রতিবাদে অন্য পথ মিল জোড়াফুল শিবির। মঙ্গলবার তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস সাংসদ ডেরেক ও ব্রায়েন জানান, আজ থেকে ২৩ ডিসেম্বর পর্যন্ত তাঁদের ২ সাংসদ গান্ধী মূর্তির পাদদেশে বসে বরখাস্তের ঘটনার প্রতিবাদ জানাবেন। প্রতিদিন সকাল ১০টা থেকে সন্ধে ৬টা পর্যন্ত তৃণমূলের দুই সাংসদের প্রতিবাদ চলবে। তাঁদের সঙ্গে আর কোনও দলের সাংসদরা যদি একইভাবে প্রতিবাদ জানাতে চান, তাহলে স্বাগত বলে জানান ডেরেক ও ব্রায়েন (Derek O'Brien)।
