গত ৪৮ ঘণ্টার বেশি সময় ধরে এক নাগাড়ে বৃষ্টি চলছে তেলাঙ্গানা এবং অন্ধ্রপ্রদেশে। তেলাঙ্গানায় (Telangana) এক নাগাড়ে বৃষ্টির (Heavy Rain) জেরে ১৬ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। এমনই জানান তেলাঙ্গানার মুখ্যমন্ত্রী রেভান্থ রেড্ডি। রেভান্থ জানান, খাম্মাম, নালগোন্ডা, সুর্যপেটের পরিস্থিতি খারাপ। কয়েক লক্ষ একর জমির ফসল নষ্ট হয়েছে বৃষ্টিতে। বহু ফস ভেসে গিয়েছে বলেও জানান রেভান্থ রেড্ডি। সেই সঙ্গে ওই সব এলাকায় বিদ্যুৎ বিপর্যয়ও শুরু হয়েছে। একটানা বৃষ্টির জেরে খাম্মা, সূর্যপেট-সহ একাধিক এলাকায় বিদ্যুতের খুঁটি উপড়ে পড়েই ওই বিপর্যয় বলে জানান মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। এক নাগাড়ে বৃষ্টির জেরে তেলাঙ্গানায় এখনও পর্যন্ত ৫,৪৩৮ কোটির সম্পত্তি নষ্ট হয়েছে বলেও জানান রেভান্থ রেড্ডি।
