কেরালার প্রথম বন্দে ভারত এক্সপ্রেস, যা কাসারগোদ এবং তিরুবনন্তপুরম এর মধ্যে চলবে এবং দুই স্টেশনের মধ্যে ৬০০ কিলোমিটার দূরত্ব আট ঘন্টায় পাড়ি দেবে
সোমবার(২৪ এপ্রিল) দুদিনের সফরে কেরালায় পৌঁছেছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি। অবিজেপি শাসিত রাজ্য কেরালাতে ঐতিহ্যবাহী পোশাকে তাঁকে স্বাগত জানাতে উপস্থিত ছিল অগুণতি মানুষ। সেই কেরালাতেই প্রথম বন্দে ভারত এক্সপ্রেসের সূচনা করলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী। তিরুবনন্তপুরম সেন্ট্রাল রেলওয়ে স্টেশন থেকে তিরুবনন্তপুরম সেন্ট্রাল-কাসারাগোদ বন্দে ভারত এক্সপ্রেসকে সবুজ পতাকা নাড়িয়ে সূচনা করেন তিনি। এটিই কেরালার প্রথম বন্দে ভারত এক্সপ্রেস, যা কাসারগোদ এবং তিরুবনন্তপুরম এর মধ্যে চলবে এবং দুই স্টেশনের মধ্যে ৬০০ কিলোমিটার দূরত্ব আট ঘন্টায় পাড়ি দেবে।
