জম্মু কাশ্মীরের (Jammu & Kashmir) উন্নয়নের ওপর বিশেষভাবে নজর রেখেছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি (PM Narendra Modi)। বৃহস্পতিহবার একটি সভায় এসে এমনটাই মন্তব্য করেন কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রী ডঃ জিতেন্দ্র সিং (Dr Jitendra Singh)। তাঁর দাবি, মোদি সরকারের প্রধানমন্ত্রী আবাস যোজনার (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) মাধ্যমে উপত্যকায় ৬ কোটি বাড়ি তৈরি হচ্ছে। এই প্রকল্পের সুবিধা যাঁরা পাচ্ছেন তাঁদেরকে জাতি, ধর্ম, রাজনৈতিক দলের সমর্থক কিনা এইসব বিষয় দিয়ে যাচাই করা হচ্ছে না। যুবসমাজের জন্য একাধিক প্রকল্প চালু রয়েছে। প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বিশেষ নজর রয়েছে জম্মু-কাশ্মীরের প্রতি।
