খালিস্তানি জঙ্গি গুরপতওয়াত সিং পান্নুনের (Gurpatwant Singh Pannun) মৃত্যুর তদন্ত না হওয়া পর্যন্ত আমেরিকা কোনওভাবে ভারতকে ড্রোন বিক্রি করবে না। এমনই একটি খবর সম্প্রতি ছড়ায়। যা নিয়ে চর্চা শুরু হলে, পিআইবি-র ফ্যাক্ট চেকে প্রকৃত তথ্য প্রকাশ্যে আসে। পিআইবি ফ্যাক্ট চেকে জানানো হয়, পান্নুনের খুনের তদন্ত না হওয়া পর্যন্ত ভারতে ড্রোন বিক্রি করবে না আমেরিকা বলে যে খবর ছড়ায়, তা পুরোপুরি ভুয়ো। ভারতের সঙ্গে ইতিমধ্যেই আমেরিকার যে চুক্তি হয়, সেই অনুসারে ৩১টি ড্রোন বিক্রি করা হয়েছে। ফলে ভারত, মার্কিন বাণিজ্য সম্পর্ক অব্যাহত বলে জানানো হয়েছে।
