ক্রমশ খারাপ হচ্ছে উত্তরপূর্বের বন্যা (Northeast Flood) পরিস্থিতি। সিকিম থেকে অসম, মণিপুর, অরুণাচল প্রদেশের পরিস্থিতি খারাপ হতে শুরু করেছে। উত্তরপূর্বের রাজ্যগুলিতে যে বন্যা দেখা দিয়েছে, তার জেরে ৫ লক্ষের বেশি মানুষ ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ। মৃত্যু হয়েছে ৩৮ জনের। উত্তরপূর্বের রাজ্যগুলি যখন বন্যায় ভেসে যাচ্ছে, সেই সময় মুখ্যমন্ত্রীদের সঙ্গে কথা বললেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নকেন্দ্র মোদী (PM Narendra Modi)। বন্যা পরিস্থিতি ক্রমাগত খারাপ হতে শুরু করায় অসমের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী হিমন্ত বিশ্বশর্মার (Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma) সঙ্গে কথা বলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী। সিকিমের (Sikkim) মুখ্যমন্ত্রী প্রেম সিং তামাংয়ের সঙ্গেও কথা বলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী। সেই সঙ্গে মণিপুরের (Manipur) রাজ্যপাল অজয় ভাল্লার সঙ্গেও প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কথা হয় বলে জানা যায়। উত্তরপূর্বের রাজ্যগুলি যখন বন্যায় ভেসে যাচ্ছে, সেই সময় সমস্ত ধরনের সাহায্যের আশ্বাস দেন প্রপধানমন্ত্রী। উত্তরপূর্বের বন্যা পরিস্থিতি থেকে সেখানকার মানুষকে রক্ষা করতে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের তরফে সমস্ত ধরনের সাহায্য করা হবে বলে আশ্বাস দেওয়া হয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর তরফে।
