নতুন করে ভয় ধরাচ্ছে নিপা ভাইরাস (Nipah Virus)। কেরলের কোঝিকোড়েতে নিপা ভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত হয়ে মৃত্যু হল বছর চোদ্দর এক কিশোরের। শনিবার ওই কিশোরের নিপা ভাইরাসের রিপোর্ট পজিটিভ আসে। রবিবার সকালে হাসপাতালে হৃদযন্ত্র বিকল হয়ে রোগীর মৃত্যু হয়েছে বলে জানা গিয়েছে। নিপা ভাইরাসে মৃত্যুর পরেই নড়েচড়ে বসেছে স্বাস্থ্য দফতর। কেরলের (Kerala) স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী বীনা জর্জ রাজ্যজুড়ে সতর্কতা জারি করেছে। বাধ্যতামুলক ভাবে মাস্ক পরতে অনুরোধ করা হয়েছে। কোনরকম উপসর্গ দেখলেই নিভৃতবাসে থাকার পরামর্শও দেওয়া হয়েছে।
