দিনদয়াল উপাধ্যায় স্টেশন থেকে উদ্ধার হল কয়েক লক্ষ টাকা। জানা যাচ্ছে, রবিবার বিকেলে বারানসী থেকে হাওড়াগামী একটি ট্রেন ধরতে যাচ্ছিল এক সন্দেহজনক ব্যক্তি। তখন তাঁকে ব্যাগসমেত পাকড়াও করে জিআরপি পুলিশ। তাঁর থেকে উদ্ধার হয়েছে কমপক্ষে ২৫.৩ লক্ষ টাকা। ছিল ৫০০, ২০০ ও ১০০-এর একাধিক বান্ডিল। জেরার মুথে ওই ব্যক্তি জানিয়েছে বাংলার উত্তর ২৪ পরগনার বাসিন্দা। আর তাঁর নাম অলোক কুমার দুবে। প্রাথমিক তদন্তে জানা যাচ্ছে, এই বিপুল পরিমাণ টাকা সোনা পাচার করে পেয়েছিল এবং সে এই টাকা উত্তরপ্রদেশ থেকেই কলকাতা নিয়ে যাওয়ার চেষ্টা করছিল। ইতিমধ্যে আয়কর বিভাগের (Income Tax department) আধিকারিকরা এই টাকা কোথা থেকে এসেছে তা জানার চেষ্টা করছে।
