নয়াদিল্লি: শুক্রবার পরপর দু’ইবার ভূমিকম্পে (Earthquake) কেঁপে উঠল ভারতের পড়শি দেশ মায়ানমার (Myanmar)। কম্পনের তিব্রতায় থাইল্যান্ডের রাজধানী ব্যাঙ্ককের হোটেল, শপিং মল কাঁপতে শুরু করে। ভেঙে পড়ে একটি নির্মীয়মাণ বাড়ি।
ইউএস জিয়োলজিক্যাল সার্ভে জানিয়েছে রিখটার স্কেলে প্রথম ভূকম্পটির তীব্রতা ৭.৭ মাত্রার। প্রথমটির উৎসকেন্দ্র মায়ানমারের বর্মা প্রদেশের ১২ কিলোমিটার উত্তরে অবস্থিত। দ্বিতীয়টি ৬:৪ মাত্রার, উৎসকেন্দ্র মায়ানমারের লকসকের ১৫১ কিলোমিটার পশ্চিমে। দিল্লির পাশাপাশি কলকাতাও মৃদু কেঁপে ওঠে। ভূমিকম্পের জেরে মায়ানমারে প্রাণহানি বা ক্ষয়ক্ষতির পরিমাণ এখনও নির্দিষ্ট করে জানা যায়নি।
তবে মায়ানমারের রাজধানী নেপিদোর একটি হাসপাতালে অসংখ্য মানুষ মর্মান্তিক অবস্থায় চিকিৎসাধীন। প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী জানিয়েছেন, ‘ভারত সম্ভাব্য সকল সহায়তা করতে প্রস্তুত।'
