বৃহস্পতিবারের পর সোমবার ফের ভূমিকম্প আন্দামান ও নিকবোর দ্বীপপুঞ্জে (Earthquake in Andaman and Nicobar)। সোমবার আন্দামান ও নিকোবর দ্বীপের দিগলিপুর থেকে ১৫০ কিলোমিটার উত্তরে ভূমিকম্পটি হয়েছে বলে জানা যাচ্ছে। ন্যাশনাল সেন্টার ফর সিসমোলজির তথ্য অনুযায়ী, রিখটার স্কেলে এদিনের কম্পনের মাত্রা ছিল ৪.৫। আন্দামান সাগরের ১০ কিলোমিটার গভীর থেকে কম্পন ছড়িয়ে পড়ে বলে জানানো হয়েছে। ভারতীয় সময় অনুযায়ী দুপুর ১২টা ৫৩ মিনিট নাগাত কম্পন অনুভব করেন স্থানীয়রা। অগাস্ট মাসের প্রথম সাত দিনের মধ্যে এই দিয়ে তৃতীয় ভূমিকম্প আন্দামান দ্বীপপুঞ্জে।
