ফের মাঙ্কিপক্সের (Monkeypox) হানাদারি কেরলে (Kerala)। এই নিয়ে মাঙ্কিপক্সে দ্বিতীয় ব্যক্তির মাঙ্কিপক্সে আক্রান্ত হওয়ার খবর মিলল। এর্নাকুলামের বাসিন্দা সম্প্রতি সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরশাহী (UAE) থেকে ফেরেন। সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরশাহী থেকে ফেরার পরপরই এর্নাকুলামের ওই বাসিন্দার শরীরে মাঙ্কিপক্সের উপসর্গ দেখা যায়। মাঙ্কিপক্সের উপসর্গ ওই ব্যক্তির শরীরে দেখার পর তাঁর নমুনা পরীক্ষা করতে পাঠানো হয় আলাপুঝার NIV-তে। বছর ২৬-এর ওই যুবকের শরীরে মাঙ্কিপক্সের কোন স্ট্রেন রয়েছে, তা রিপোর্ট এলে তবেই জানা যাবে। এর আগেও একজন কেরলে মাঙ্কিপক্সে আক্রান্ত হন। মাল্লাপুরমের ওই বাসিন্দাও সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরশাহী থেকে ফেরার পর মাঙ্কিপক্সে আক্রান্ত হন বলে জানা যায়।
