এখনও অগ্নিগর্ভ মণিপুরের একাংশ। পশ্চিম ইম্ফলে নতুন করে সংঘর্ষে ১৫ জন জখম হওয়ার খবর মিলেছে। পাঁচজন সশস্ত্র যুবকের গ্রেফতারির পর থেকেই উত্তপ্ত সেখানকার পরিস্থিতি। ধৃতদের মুক্তির দাবিতে চার-পাঁচ দিন ধরে সেরাজ্যে বিক্ষোভ-প্রতিবাদের আগুন জ্বলে উঠেছে। বিক্ষোভরত উন্মুক্ত জনতাকে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে কয়েক রাউন্ড কাঁদানে গ্যাস ছোড়ে পুলিশ। সংঘর্ষে আহত হয় ১৫ জন।
তবে এরই মাঝে স্বাভাবিক জীবনে ফেরার আশায় সাড়ে চার মাস পর উত্তর পূর্ব ভারতের এই রাজ্যের সব জায়গা থেকে তুলে নেওয়া হল মোবাইল ইন্টারনেট পরিষেবার ওপর নিষেধাজ্ঞা। গত ৩ মে রাজ্য অগ্নিগর্ভ হওয়ার পর থেকে মণিপুর জুড়ে জারি হয় মোবাইল ইন্টারনেট পরিষেবা।
