Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti: ভারতের দ্বিতীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী লালবাহাদুর শাস্ত্রীর জন্ম জয়ন্তীতে বিজয় ঘাটে পুষ্পার্ঘ্য অর্পন প্রধানমন্ত্রী, উপস্থিত অধ্যক্ষ ও উপরাষ্ট্রপতিও(দেখুন ভিডিও)

আজকের দিনেই ( ২ অক্টোবর) ১৯০২ সালে মুগলসরাইয়ে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন ভারতের দ্বিতীয় তথা জনপ্রিয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী লালবাহাদুর শাস্ত্রী। কমবয়সে বাবাকে হারান ভারতের এই  প্রাক্তন প্রধানমন্ত্রী।তারপর  মহাত্মা গান্ধীর ডাকে মাত্র ১৬ বছর বয়সেই ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়েছিলেন দেশের স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামে। তাঁর দেওয়া 'জয় জওয়ান, জয় কিষান' স্লোগানের মধ্যে দিয়ে অমরত্ব লাভ করেছেন তিনি।

আজ জাতির জনকের পাশাপাশি জন্মদিন ভারতের প্রাক্তন এই প্রধানমন্ত্রীর। তাঁকে শ্রদ্ধা জানাতে বর্তমান প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী পৌঁছে গিয়েছিলেন সমাধিস্থল বিজয় ঘাটে। শ্রদ্ধা জানাতে উপস্থিত ছিলেন লোকসভার অধ্যক্ষ ওম বিড়লা  ও উপরাষ্ট্রপতি জগদীপ ধনখড় ও। দেখুন সেই ছবি-
