Uday Umesh Lalit: দেশের প্রধান বিচারপতি হিসেবে শপথ নিলেন উদয় উমেশ ললিত
দেশের প্রধান বিচারপতি (Chief Justice of India) হিসেবে শপথ নিলেন উদয় উমেশ ললিত। শনিবার রাষ্ট্রপতি ভবনে রাষ্ট্রপতি দ্রৌপদী মুর্মু-র থেকে শপথ নিলেন তিনি।
দেশের প্রধান বিচারপতি (Chief Justice of India) হিসেবে শপথ নিলেন উদয় উমেশ ললিত। শনিবার রাষ্ট্রপতি ভবনে রাষ্ট্রপতি দ্রৌপদী মুর্মু-র থেকে শপথ নিলেন তিনি। এনভি রামানা-র স্থলাভষিক্ত হয়ে দেশের ৪৯তম প্রধান বিচারপতি হলেন উদয় উমেশ ললিত। আগামী ২৬ আগস্টই শেষ হচ্ছে এনভি রামানার মেয়াদ। প্রধান বিচারপতি হিসেবে ললিত তিন মাস দায়িত্ব পালন করবেন।
২০১৪ সালের ১৩ আগস্ট সুপ্রিম কোর্টের বিচারপতি হিসেবে নিযুক্ত হন তিনি। ১৯৮৩ সাল থেকে তিনি আইনের পেশার সঙ্গে যুক্ত।
