মহারাজগঞ্জে এশিয়ান রাজা শকুন বা লাল মাথার শকুনদের জন্য বিশ্বের প্রথম সংরক্ষণ ও প্রজনন কেন্দ্র স্থাপন করতে প্রস্তুত উত্তরপ্রদেশের সরকার। উত্তরপ্রদেশ সরকারের সহযোগিতায় গড়ে তোলা কেন্দ্রটির নাম হতে চলেছে জটায়ু সংরক্ষণ ও প্রজনন কেন্দ্র।
মহারাজগঞ্জে এশিয়ান রাজা শকুন বা লাল মাথার শকুনদের জন্য বিশ্বের প্রথম সংরক্ষণ ও প্রজনন কেন্দ্র স্থাপন করতে প্রস্তুত উত্তরপ্রদেশের সরকার। উত্তরপ্রদেশ সরকারের সহযোগিতায় গড়ে তোলা কেন্দ্রটির নাম হতে চলেছে জটায়ু সংরক্ষণ ও প্রজনন কেন্দ্র। এই মুহুর্তে ভারতে বা গোটা এশিয়ায় বিপন্ন প্রজাতি হতে চলেছে এই এশিয়ান কিং শকুন। তাই সংরক্ষণ ও প্রজনন কেন্দ্র তৈরি হলে তা এই নির্দিষ্ট পাখির জনসংখ্যাকে উন্নত করবে।
