ভারত এই প্রথম তার নিজস্ব প্রযুক্তিবিদ্যায় তৈরি ম্যাগনেটিক রিসোন্যান্স ইমাজিন (Indigenous MRI machine) মেশিন নতুন দিল্লির অল ইন্ডিয়া ইনস্টিটিউট অফ মেডিকেল সায়েন্সেস (Delhi AIMS) এ স্থাপন করতে চলেছে। চলতি বছর অক্টোবর মাসে পরীক্ষামূলকভাবে এই এম আর আই মেশিন স্থাপন করা হবে। দেশজ প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহারের ফলে একদিকে যেমন রোগীর চিকিৎসা খরচ যেমন কমবে,অন্যদিকে বিদেশ থেকে মেডিকেল যন্ত্রাংশ আমদানি করার খরচও ৮০থেকে ৮৫শতাংশ হ্রাস পাবে বলে জানানো হয়েছে। দেশজ প্রযুক্তির এম আর আই মেশিন মেডিকেল প্রযুক্তি ব্যবস্থায় দেশের আত্মনির্ভর হওয়ার পথে আরো একধাপ বলে মনে করা হচ্ছে।
