২০১৮ সালে কেলারায় নিপা ভাইরাসের জেরে প্রাণ হারিয়েছিলেন ১৭ জন
কেরালায় নিপা ভাইরাসের জেরে এবার সতর্কতামূলক ব্যবস্থা নিতে শুরু করল কর্ণাটক সরকার। প্রশাসনের পক্ষ থেকে কেরালার উপদ্রুত অঞ্চলগুলিতে না যাওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে আবেদন করা হয়েছে।
ভাইরাসের সংক্রমন ঠেকাতে সীমান্তবর্তী এলাকাগুলি যেমন কোডাগু, দক্ষিণ কন্নডা, চামরাজানাগারা এবং মাইশোরের প্রবেশের ক্ষেত্রে নজরদারী শুরু করা হয়েছে। ২০১৮ সালের পর আবার কেরালায় আতঙ্কের থাবা বসিয়েছে নিপা ভাইরাস।তাই পূর্বের অভিজ্ঞতা থেকে শিক্ষা নিয়ে এবার সতর্কভাবে এগিয়ে এর প্রতিরোধে নেমেছে কেরালা।
কোঝিকোড়ে এই ভাইরাসের আক্রমনের জেরে ইতিমধ্যেই তৈরী করা হয়েছে কনটেইনমেন্ট জোন।
